The bishops of England and Wales have issued an 11-page pastoral text on gender entitled 'Intricately Woven by the Lord'.
The bishops note that many erroneous views of the human person dominate the discourse, leading to Catholics being discriminated against or even losing their jobs.
A new language has been imposed to describe "diverse" [= false] ideas, with words and phrases appearing in public discourse such as 'trans', 'transgender', 'gender identity theory', 'born in the wrong body', 'gender fluidity' or 'gender other than the sex assigned at birth'.
The bishops use the term 'gender dysphoria' or 'gender dysphoric persons' for people who are in conflict with their natural gender. They explain that the human person consists of body and soul as a unity. The union of spirit and matter forms a single nature. Real gender and subjectively perceived gender ("gender identity") cannot be separated.
It is necessary to value one's own body in its femininity or masculinity and then [after marriage …More

Paul also invites us to a relationship with God:
“We have not received the spirit of the world [wordly] but the Spirit that is from God, so that we may understand the things freely given to us by God.” 1 Corinthians, chapter 2, verse 12
The Spirit we receive is God’s. Paul is convinced and convincing. He’s living so deep the presence of God that he recognizes and receives his action in his life.
To leave to God a place in our life supposes that we have left something out, that we’re achieving some cleaning of the past of certain harmful or even destructive habits. Thus, the future will not clutter our minds.
As soon as we leave the Holy Spirit a unique place in our hearts, our habits are transformed, our attitudes become charitable, we develop healthy and holy ways of thinking, seeing, understanding the reality of the world and the heart of the person.
As soon as we ask the Trinity to help us and to enter our lives, we progress for the better, immediately. We feel a light breeze guiding …More

The story goes that the Rockefellers purposely positioned the statue of Atlas opposite Saint Patrick's Cathedral in New York, symbolizing secular man's burden without divine assistance. In response, the Archbishop, likely Cardinal Hayes, erected a statue of the Infant Jesus of Prague, effortlessly holding the world, representing divine aid.

Did Pope John XXIII ignore Sacred Scripture and treat the messengers & prophecies of Fatima with contempt?

St. Paul tells us in 1 Thessalonians 5:20 - "Do not treat prophecies with contempt." or "Despise not prophecies." In other words, do not despise, scorn, spurn or reject the gifts of prophecy or prophecies [prophetic revelations, the inspired words of instruction or exhortation or warning].
Our Lady of Fatima was fully approved by both the local ordinary of the diocese and the Vatican long before Pope John XXIII in August of 1959 opened the envelopes and read the words Our Lady had spoken as a Secret to the little shepherd children of Fatima on 13 July 1917.
Nevertheless, on 11 October 1962 during his Opening Day Address of the Second Vatican Council in St. Peter's Basilica, Pope John XXIII declared, "We feel we must disagree with those prophets of doom, who are always forecasting disaster, as though the end of the world were at hand." - Solenne apertura del Concilio ecumenico Vaticano II (11 ottobre 1962) | Giovanni XXIII

@LiveMike Yes, I always felt that the 'prophets of doom' quote was aimed at the Fatima message - especially Sister Lucia. But Pope John XXIII would have been influenced by modernist Jesuit Fr Edouard Dhanis, who basically put Fatima into two sections: 'Fatima I' - the apparitions from May to October 1917 which he grudgingly admitted were probably genuine, and then 'Fatima II' by which he meant all the subsequent revelations to Sr Lucia, which he more or less said were a figment of her imagination. The whole sorry story is recounted in Frere Michel de la Sainte Trinite's masterly trilogy: 'The Whole Truth About Fatima'. Sadly out of print but available online to read free here:- The Whole Truth About Fatima The Dhanis affair is dealt with in depth towards the end of Volume One. In the Vatican 2000 document 'The Message of Fatima', Fr Dhanis is the only theologian named in the whole document, which speaks volumes.

Smarthistory Saint Mark's Basilica, Venice, begun 1063. († 63) Saint Mark was converted to the Faith by the Prince of the Apostles, whom he later accompanied to Rome, acting there as his secretary or interpreter. When Saint Peter wrote his First Epistle to the churches of Asia, he affectionately joined to his own salutation that of his faithful companion, whom he calls my son Mark. The Roman people entreated Saint Mark to put in writing for them the substance of Saint Peter's frequent discourses on Our Lord's life. This the Evangelist did under the eye and with the express sanction of the Apostle, and every page of his brief but graphic Gospel so bore the impress of Saint Peter's character, that the Fathers used to name it Peter's Gospel.
Saint Mark was then sent to Egypt to found the Church of Alexandria. There his disciples became the wonder of the world for their piety and asceticism; Saint Jerome speaks of Saint Mark as the father of the anchorites who …More

So another year of my life has just passed, and with what speed, oh my God! will the year that begins pass less quickly? Will I see the end of it, and will it not be the last of the years of a life so short and so fragile?
O infinitely good God, I come to thank you for the countless blessings that I have received from you during this year! What desires, what holy resolutions have you not inspired in me! How many times at the feet of the minister of your mercy have I not had the forgiveness of my faults! How many times at the foot of this altar have I received from you the most touching token of your love in fervent communion! How many times have you spoken to my heart! How many salutary opinions and touching exhortations have I not heard, in short, how many privileged graces, how many celestial favors has your liberal hand not showered on me! florycanto El Beato Giovanni Battista Piamarta, nacido en Brescia en 1841 de una familia pobre artesana, se sentirá impulsado a abrazar la causa de los huérfanos y de los jóvenes no sólo por la indigencia infantil, sino también por la filantropía evangélica y por el espíritu de León XIII, el Papa dé los obreros y de la "Rerum 1vIovarum" (1891).
