In the airplane interview that took place on his trip back to Rome, the pope was asked by a reporter:
You did not mention abortion, marriage between persons of the same sex. In Brazil, a law was passed that extends the right to abortion and allowed marriage between persons of the same sex. Why did you not talk about this?”
Papa Francesco:
“The Church has already expressed this perfectly. It was not necessary to go back, as I have not even talked about fraud, deceit or other things on which the Church has a clear doctrine!...young people know exactly what is the position of the Church!”

The polls are clear – the vast majority of Catholics either do not know, and/or do not accept, the Church’s Doctrine on ALL of the issues listed above, and that is just a small sampling of subjects on which large numbers of Catholics hold erroneous …More

Sure hope your wrong about that wirewrapper, we'll have to wait a little longer and see what happens. I agree with Hay Zeus, that saving souls is the first priority and Responsibilty of a priest, and how can he do that if he doesn't preach on the important topics that are sending souls to their eternal death. More prayer!

This has been a big question that I have had for awhile now, and it just seems that he just doesn't care that much, and his answer just seems to say affirm that. There doesn't seem that much will be done about these life issues under this Pope. I guess Pope Francis really is going to be the Social Justice Pope..

Excellent article.. Lets do hope Francis does talk about the necessary topics they cause many to live in a state of mortal sin. Christ said, we would always have the poor with us and the Church is always there to help the poor. But let's save souls who are in jeopardy by birth control, homosexual living, abortion, divorce....
