New Apostolic Exhortation: The Pope has issued the Apostolic Exhortation "Evangelii Gaudium" containing the results of the 2012 Synod of Bishops. In it Francis askes – quote – to go "new ways". He proposes a – quote - "reform of the papacy". Thus Francis opposes a – quote - over-centralization of the Church. The Episcopal Conferences should have a – quote - "authentic teaching authority". Francis criticizes explicitely those who keep the liturgy, the teaching of the faith and the reputation of the Church in too high regard.
No Donations: The “Catholic Campaign for Human Development” has been criticized for giving money to promoters of abortion and homosexuality. According to the “American Life League” the Campaign has made overall improvement during 2013, though there are still a large number of morally problematic grantees.
