The Story of how the Venerable Bede came to be known as "Venerable". Set in the ruins of Bede's monastery in Wearmouth-Jarrow in Northumbria (far North Eastern Britain), Tony Willson relates the tale in his wonderful 'Geordie' accent. Then dialect of the region could be understood in Scandinavian countries like Norway, Sweeden and northern Denmark.
The Roman Catholic Church titles Bede as "Venerable" Confessor and Doctor of the Church; the Church of England (Anglican) titles Bede as Saint. Which ever is adhered to, Bede the Venerable is truely a Hero of and for the English peoples.
