Bishop Married in Church

The novelist Silvia Caballol, wife of ex-Bishop Javier Novell Gomá of Solsona, Spain, has announced to the world on Instagram that she got married to the bishop in church "thanks to the mercy of the Holy Father".

She included a cute photo and called it "honest" to present herself and her family as fodder for the yellow press.

Caballol stressed that she admires "the great human and spiritual quality of Pope Francis" and confirmed that her husband "is still a bishop, but without being able to exercise his ministry".

It cannot be ruled out that Caballol's honesty is based on the need for some media attention to boost sales of her erotic novels which, doubtlessly, gained her the sympathy of Francis and, above all, of Tucho Fernández.

Novell resigned as bishop in August 2021, and in November of the same year contracted a civil marriage, which resulted in a suspension latae sententiae.

In April 2022, four months after his civil marriage, Novell became the father of twins.

I wish more conciliar Bishops would leave. They actually have more chance saving their souls that way then continuing on as apostate bishops in the conciliar Church as they openly undermine the Catholic faith.

I agree with the first part of your post (they should leave), but to attempt marriage would only add to the sin of infidelity to their episcopal vows and endanger their souls further.

Two examples I know of from personal experience: one diocese had a young priest who served as vocation director. He eventually left the priesthood to get 'married', but was still active in the local Catholic parish - which was the cathedral!! Another priest 'came out' as a homosexual but continued to attend church. Later he then became infatuated & entered into a liaison with a newly ordained priest who just was assigned to his parish. This latter man then also left the priesthood and the two ran off to get married in Hawaii [at the time the only state that had so-called 'gay marriage'] 😱 🙏

Someone should look into how many priests have left to get “gay married.” There have been many.
