This information appeared in Italian and Polish media outlets, citing sources in the Congregation for the Causes of Saints. The Vatican has not announced any such plans. But Cardinal Stanislaw Dziwisz of Krakow, longtime private secretary to late Pontiff, recently asserted that the investigation of the cause was nearly complete.

Archpriest Vsevolod Chaplin, who heads the external-relations department for the Moscow patriarchate, said: "It is incorrect to consider condoms as a panacea." Moral behavior is a better defense against AIDS, he said.

Il mélange l'ordination de prêtres mariés avec le mariage des prêtres ; c'est tout-à-fait différent. Dans les Eglises de rite oriental, il me semble qu'il est permis à des hommes mariés de devenir prêtres. En revanche, le mariage des prêtres n'est pas autorisé. Dieu ne se partage pas... On se donne à Dieu intégralement.
