Saint Dominic: The Apostle of the Rosary
BENEDICT XVI
GENERAL AUDIENCE
Paul VI Audience Hall

General Audience of 3 February 2010: Saint …
Saint Dominic Guzmán
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Last week I presented the luminous figure of Francis of Assisi; today I want to talk about another Saint of the same period who made a fundamental contribution to the renewal of the Church of his time: St Dominic, the Founder of the Order of Preachers, also known as Dominican Friars.
His successor at the head of the Order, Bl. Jordan of Saxony, gives a complete picture of St Dominic in the text of a famous prayer: "Your strong love burned with heavenly fire and God-like zeal. With all the fervour of an impetuous heart and with an avowal of perfect poverty, you spent your whole self in the cause of the Apostolic life" and in preaching the Gospel. It is precisely this fundamental trait of Dominic's witness that is emphasized: he always spoke with God and of God. Love for the …More

“Fill the Earth”

– Folha de S. Paulo, June 4, 1984 –
by Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira
Our great, beautiful, and beloved Brazil. These are just a few of the adjectives that — though deserved — have become worn out from constant use. Far more accurate and genuine to our reality would be to describe this country as indecipherable, for it truly is in more than one way. Today, I will focus on just one of those ways.
Imagine, dear reader, a farmer living with his family in a spacious house, surrounded by the wide-open spaces that make up the rural property. Wide indeed, stretching as far as the eye can see.
It so happens that the family has grown considerably, and there is no longer enough room in the big house for the farmer’s offspring. Quarrels erupt on every side. Some wish to enlarge the cramped corners they occupy and, to justify this, argue that the house is, in a sense, a common asset belonging to the entire family.
They bellow, with the metallic insistence of busybodies, a handful of clichés about the …More

Mexican Bishop Hops Left and Right Before the Altar: Bishop José Leopoldo González González, 71, of San Juan de los Lagos, Jalisco, Mexico, hopped and danced in liturgical vestments, including his mitre, during Emaús 2026. The diocesan gathering brought together more than 5,000 young Catholics on 23–24 May in San Miguel el Alto, Jalisco. González explained that a young man had told him the dance was simple—“one step to the right and another to the left” - and joked that he had “fallen into the trap.”

During Emaús 2026 in San Miguel el Alto, Bishop José Leopoldo González González drew attention for his energetic participation with young people during the activities and Mass.

I will be sharing my small library of stories in honor of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki martyrs of Japan in honor of their death and ascent into heaven on August 6th and 9th, 1945.

Nagasaki was specifically targeted by the US because it was the epicenter of Catholicism in Japan and a threat to their satanic nwo. Our brothers and sisters in Christ are martyrs because of that fact. Let us pray to them and ask for their protection in this trying time!

David Dionisi – James Perloff

Books are periodically sent to me, or recommended by readers—more, unfortunately, than I’ve been able to keep up with. I just finished one, however, that cried “book review”: The U.S. government long claimed it dropped A-bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki because only this would convince Japan to end the Second World War, and that it “spared millions of lives” which allegedly would have been lost had America been forced to invade the islands. I’ve known this was a lie ever since reading Dr. Anthony Kubek’s 1963 classic How the Far East Was Lost. Japan had, in fact, already offered to surrender on virtually the same terms we approved at war’s end.1 America demanded “unconditional surrender.” The Japanese were willing to accept this, but wanted to salvage one condition—to retain their emperor. Since we wound up granting that condition anyway, the dropping of A-bombs does not square with the public justification at all. Establishment historians have tried offering an alternative explanation …

Thank you for this. I believe it and it is a shame the US did not agree to the Japanese surrender earlier (there would have been no North Korea, and China may have remained free, plus all those lives would have been spared).

Angola: Catholics Ask Pope for a ‘White Bishop’

An unusual controversy has erupted in the Church in Angola after an anonymous letter sent to the Apostolic Nunciature in Luanda called for the next bishop of Mbanza Kongo to be white, reports the Substack.com-account The Pillar (August 7).
The authors argue that the historic diocese has not developed sufficiently under its three Angolan bishops, while insisting the request is not racially motivated. The Diocese of Mbanza Kongo has rejected the suggestion that the letter represents its faithful.
Angolan Catholic commentator Paulo Viana believes the dispute may actually be about dissatisfaction with Bishop Vicente Carlos Kiaziku, whose health problems have kept him away for extended periods, and the battle over his eventual successor.
Viana suggests the letter could be intended to derail the possible appointment of Bishop António Lungieki Bengui, auxiliary bishop of Luanda.
The controversy is especially striking in Mbanza Kongo, the cradle of Christianity in Angola and home of Henrique of …More

How did we come to this?

INTEL Round table with Scott Ritter, Larry Johnson and Pepe Escobar on Judging Freedom.
We can not allow America to become Israel. To give them our INTEL and become one state. Handed over to the enemy as if we didn't matter. What is the truth with Iran. With our weapons, oil, gas and fuel. And how can trump lie right in our face and not care how he deceives Americans. Does Iran know how low we are on everything? The danger we are in with oil reserves at the danger point and how low we are on weapons? Where are they on Ukraine and Russia? What is their plan with them? We are watching the death of Ukraine today. And what about Putin? How is he doing in all this?
They will discuss these things and they will expose the lies and exactly how much trouble America is in.

Texas Bishop Expands Latin Mass

Bishop Michael Sis of San Angelo, West Texas, will expand access to the traditional Latin Mass with a new monthly celebration at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Midland, beginning August 30.
Rev. Ryan Rojo, the diocese’s Vocations Director and Director of Seminarians, announced the development on X.com.
The Mass will be celebrated on the last Sunday of each month at 3 p.m.
Rev. Rojo promised that this is “just a beginning”: “The diocese discerns a path forward to provide for our people.”
He added that other diocesan priests will learn to celebrate the Roman rite in the coming weeks and months.
The existing weekly Traditional Latin Mass at St. Margaret of Scotland Church in San Angelo will continue unchanged.
