King Charles announced that Britain will implement Digital ID

What is happening in Britain presently will surely come to Canada and the entire West. King Charles officially announced recently that the UK government will move to implement Digital ID. Who instructed him and the British government to take this Orwellian step? Of course the citizenry was never consulted. It's a terrible move to completely monitor and control people.
