The argument that we had to use nuclear weapons in Japan to save American lives during an invasion is a false argument. At the time we used the nuclear weapons, the Japanese had no ships or aircraft left and vary sparse resourses or manufacturing capability due to the prolonged, intense B-29 bombing from Tinian. We did not have to invade! They are an island with no means to leave. They presented no threat to anyone at that time. A naval blockade would have been sufficient. It was an act of revenge against innocent women, children and the elderly.

And if they had developed the weapon first, they would have had no problems dropping it on a U.S.A. target. Dad was a P.O.W. of theirs for 3 years. Cry to someone else about the poor Japs.
@Victor t J. I am glad to hear your dad made it through. What did he do to keep going? Did he pray the Rosary? I can see you do not care about innocent people being killed by weapons of mass destruction. I am celebrating their martyrdom not crying about about them. And exposing the US's immoral plan to destroy the center of Asian Catholicism. Was your dad on board with that?
