Humor ~ Thanks to Donna for submitting today's joke.
A priest told his students in Patmos, "On Thursday I plan to preach about the sin of lying.
To help you understand my sermon, I want you all to read Mark 17." On Wednesday, as he prepared to deliver his sermon, the priest asked for a show of hands.
He wanted to know how many had read Mark 17. Every hand went up.
The priest smiled and said, "Mark has only 16 chapters.
I will now proceed with my sermon on the sin of lying."

I see the point. But I want to contribute another thought. I think that the priest was also "lying", with all due respect. Specifically, it's a form of lying called "misleading". It was done for a good purpose because any kid who had tried to find Mark 17 and did not find it would say: "I was looking for it but did not find it anywhere". And by telling the truth the kid would have purged the priest's …More
I see the point. But I want to contribute another thought. I think that the priest was also "lying", with all due respect. Specifically, it's a form of lying called "misleading". It was done for a good purpose because any kid who had tried to find Mark 17 and did not find it would say: "I was looking for it but did not find it anywhere". And by telling the truth the kid would have purged the priest's misleading hint. I hope I made myself clear.
