The German Philosopher Robert Spaemann, 91, has died on December 10 after long illness, gloria.tv has learned from his son Christian.
Spaemann taught at the Universities of Stuttgart, Heidelberg and Munich. A friend of Benedict XVI, he was an ardent defender of the Catholic faith, human reason, Christian ethics and the Old Latin Mass.
Spaemann’s father Heinrich, a convert to the Faith, was ordained a Catholic priest in 1942 after the early death of his wife.

He was one of the first who recognized the heterodoxy of Amoris Leatitia. The day after this encyclical was published, he wrote: "Pope Francis made chaos as a principle with one stroke of the pen". He saw it right!
