I do not know any source, either from Scripture nor from Tradition that speaks about a "mission of the Pope to unify the Church". And he adds: "I will entrust to you the keys of the kingdom of heaven." Later Christ tells Peter to "feed my lambs". I do not see were Christ intrusts Peter the "misison to unify the world". It may (or may not!) be an effect of the Pope's mission that it "unifies the world". The Apocalypse of Saint John tells us that the world unifies against not with the Church.

Rather the mission of the Pope is to unify both at the same time - correct me if I'm wrong (and I'm happy to be wrong) but in stating what you 'humbly believe', are you saying that the Pope has no mission to world and only to Catholics? This doesn't seem right considering that the early Church preached to Gentiles and Jews simultaneously while having problems of its own (look at St Paul's letters).
