Catholic Divorce: Patrick Archbold has “a great deal of concern” about yesterday’s changes in the process of annulment of marriage, introduced by the Pope. Francis abolished the automatic appeals process and all power is now placed in the Bishop and his appointees. For Archbold this will predictably open up the possibility of Catholic divorce.
Confusing: Pope Francis transmitted a video message to last week’s International Congress of Theology held in Buenos Aires. In it he claims that – quote – “one is not a Christian in the same way in the Argentina of today as in the Argentina of 100 years ago.
