Leo XIV Appoints Synodal Bishop: "Open to Novelty and Change"

On June 20, Leo XIV has appointed Rev Elímar Gerardo Carvajal Durán, 50, as Bishop of Puntarenas, Costa Rica.
Born in Grecia in 1976 and ordained a priest in 2003, Monsignor Carvajal Durán has served in various pastoral roles within the Diocese of Alajuela and most recently as Diocesan Vicar for Pastoral Ministry.
He is a strongly synodal, CELAM-formed, Francis-era pastoral organizer. His public record shows extensive commitment to "discernment", "accompaniment", and "synodality".
Strong Synodal Profile
By September 2022, Rev. Carvajal had assumed a leading role in coordinating the Diocese of Alajuela's Diocesan Synodal Process.
In a September 28, 2022 talk on the Youtube channel of the Diocese of Alajuela, Monsignor Carvajal uses all of the Francis’ buzzwords such as "the synodal Church", "the reality is always before the idea", “listening to the cries of people”, etc.
His Language Speaks Volumes
In a September 5, 2023 video, Monsignor Carvajal said that discernment and synodality …Máis

Monsignor Brunero Gherardini: What Adherence is Due to the Second Vatican Council?

Following the debate reopened by the recent consecrations of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X and by the question of the adherence due to the Second Vatican Council, it seems opportune to recover this text by Monsignor Brunero Gherardini, originally published in 2011 by Disputationes Theologicae.
The great celebration of the fiftieth anniversary has begun. The beating of drums is not yet heard, but it can already be perceived in the atmosphere. The fiftieth anniversary of Vatican II will unleash all that is most superlative that can be imagined in terms of praise. Of the sobriety that had been requested, as an attitude and as an occasion for reflection and analysis for a more critical and profound evaluation of the conciliar event, not a trace remains. Already, without restraint, the same things that have been said and repeated for fifty years are being reiterated: Vatican II is the culminating point of Tradition and its very synthesis. International congresses on the greatest …

German Diocese Reduces to Just NINE Parishes

The Diocese of Speyer in southwestern Germany plans to reduce its current 70 parishes to just 9 large parish units. Bishop Karl-Heinz Wiesemann described the move as a “major turning point” that will require "courage" from all involved.
By October 31, the diocesan administration will present a plan for implementing the changes.
The new parishes will be led by a three-person team consisting of a pastor, a lay pastoral minister, and an administrative director.
Before a major reform in 2016, the diocese consisted of 346 parishes. These were merged into 70 larger parishes as part of the pastoral "reform" program.

US Bishop Abolishes Another Mass in Roman Rite: Bishop William F. Medley of Owensboro, Kentucky, has ordered Rev. David Kennedy to stop celebrating according to the Roman Missal after June 30. He will only permit the Novus Ordo celebrated in Latin and ad orientem instead. Bishop Medley explains he cannot certify - as Vatican instructions required - that the parish has taken steps to move the faithful toward the Novus Ordo. He delayed action to see if Leo XIV would reconsider Traditionis Custodes but proceeded after the Cardinals' January Consistory declined to revisit the document.

Catholic Bishop Shown in Hell. During the Hellfest festival, held from June 18–21, 2026, in Clisson, western France, a performer appeared on stage covered by a dark, skull-like mask and wearing a Catholic bishop's mitre. The stage production featured dark and occult-themed imagery. Pictures were shared on Hellfest's official Instagram account. It is one of Europe's largest heavy metal music festivals.

Satanists know firsthand that many churchmen have sold themselves to the devil, even in the highest levels of the Church (Fatima); one only has to look at the heresies they utter or the sins they support.

Human beings are the most helpless newborns in all of nature. They cannot walk, speak, or regulate their body temperature. If left alone for just a few hours, they die.
And yet, we build cities and reach the moon.
This is not a paradox. It is the central mechanism of everything we are.
In this video, we explore how the human brain almost destroyed our species, why we are born incomplete, and how that fragility gave rise to empathy, cooperation, and intelligence.

These things will come to pass so that Holy Russia may hang on the Cross with my Son to redeem the world.

Satan's pride compelled him to reveal his hand in the destruction of Holy Russia from the start of the revolution. In 1905 when Servant of God Catherine de Hueck Doherty (Ekaterina Fyodorovna Kolyschkine de Hueck Doherty / Founder of Poustinia Movement: Encountering God in Silence, Solitude and Prayer) was a nine year old girl living comfortably with her family in rural Russia, it was customary for pilgrims to walk long distances to pray at its many shrines. One evening a single old woman pilgrim sought shelter at the farm of Catherine's family and the family and servants eagerly gathered by kerosene lamps around a crackling fireplace to hear her tell of her pious adventures. Well into the evening, after relating many blessings received at the holy shrines, the woman told of passing through a thick forest with a growing sense of an evil presence that even set the forest creatures on edge. Around a bend another road joined hers and a single man walking in her direction joined her. Although …Máis

WOKE: Faith, Morality, and Cultural Decay
I want to talk about something heavy today, and it’s something happening over in the Philippines that really exposes the spiritual crisis of our modern world.
Look at what’s going on with this transvestite, Pura Luka Vega. We are seeing someone dress up as Our Lord, specifically making fun of the Our Father, and turning the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass into a profane mockery. These people don’t just want to celebrate “Pride” anymore. The mask is completely off. They are openly mocking Almighty God, and yet, in the very same breath, they turn around and demand absolute respect, tolerance, and legal protection for their own beliefs and actions. The double standard is staggering.
And you have to ask yourself: Have we learned absolutely nothing? Think about the trials that have slammed into humanity over these last few years. We just went through a global pandemic. We are seeing major earthquakes, massive storms, and countless reminders every single …Máis

2 Kings 17:5-8, 13-15a, 18
In the time these writings were written, people believed that God is good, but also that he can do harm.
However, God does not harm anyone, nor does he encourage evil.
Matthew 7:1-5
"Remove the wooden beam from your eye first."
An interesting method for removing the plank from our eye is to identify the negative things we think and say, as well as what others say to us, and transform them into positive for the future.

Environmental lawyer facing up to 2 years in prison for clearing rubbish from East London river
Paul Powlesland, 40, and a group of volunteers filled over 200 bags of rubbish from the River Roding in Barking, East London
A barrister is facing prosecution by the Environment Agency for pulling rubbish out of a local river. Paul Powlesland, 40, and a group of volunteers took matters into their own hands to clear a section of the River Roding in
Barking, East London.
The group hired a digger for £1,000 and filled over 200 bags of rubbish including packaging, needles, domestic appliances and even weapons. However, shortly after the clean-up, Paul received a letter from the Environment Agency (EA) notifying him he was under investigation for operating without a licence.
The offence carries a maximum punishment of two years in prison, and he could also lose his job as an environmental lawyer. Despite this, Paul, who lives on a houseboat on the river, has pledged to press on - urging the EA …

From Head Knowledge To Holy Living
The Gospel reading highlights the difference between intellectually accepting the truth of Jesus as the Son of God and living that truth. While Peter professed his faith, he struggled to understand the practical implications of Jesus’s mission, including suffering and death. This journey of faith requires purification through suffering, allowing us to truly live as members of Christ, embracing both His passion and resurrection.

Dorsey Expects to Be Ready, He Says, but Postponement Seems Probable
That Leo M. Frank will go on trial for the murder of Mary Phagan on June 30th is not a certainty, although it is generally conceded that Solicitor Hugh M. Dorsey will set the case on the court's calendar for that date when he returns to the city from New York.
Solicitor Dorsey will return to Atlanta on Sunday. In reply to a telegram from The Journal relative to the time of the trial he makes the following statement: "Cannot say definitely that state will be ready on June 30, but expect now to be."
As to whether or not the trial actually will be commenced on that date depends largely upon the defense, although there is a bare possibility that the court may wish to hold up the trial of the long case until after the jail is cleared. It is the general policy of the criminal division of the superior court to clear the jail for the summer at …
