The empty byre and the Son of Consolation I looked at some videos of the Weeping Holy Virgin in Byronas. It is clearly seen in this photo* that the streams of tears (or myrrh) do not obey the law of gravity. The stream from the right eye of Our Lady anoints her lips, while the stream from her left eye anoints the forehead of the Child. So far I have not been able to determine whether they are tears or myrrh.
