Burke: Francis' Claim That Christ Is In Rivers And Trees Is "Simply Not True"
Francis’ Querida Amazonia is “troubling” and ambiguous, but "there are a number of interpreters who tell us exactly what is intended,” Cardinal Raymond Burke told NCRegister.com (March 7).
For Burke, positive reactions to the document, for instance Cardinal Müller's, are misplaced, because QA contains passages "which gravely contradict theological truths."
An example: Francis writes “that Christ is in the river and in the trees and so forth.” Burke calls this "classical animism" and "simply not true.”
QA's talk about a lay Church is for Burke “a kind of Protestant idea” that questions the priesthood as a sacrament.
He knows from one bishop who saw a previous version of QA that it contained a paragraph abolishing celibacy, “It would seem to me it was intended to be included." Burke believes Francis backtracked because of the Ratzinger/Sarah book.

Vatican spokesman Matteo Bruni said that the person was a patient in the Vatican’s health services.
Outpatient services in Vatican clinics had been suspended to "sanitise" the areas.

Archdiocese: Communion in the Hand Is Not Less "Risky"
Portland Archdiocese, Oregon, reaffirmed on Monday that receiving Holy Communion on the tongue cannot be banished.
Two physicians, one of them an immunologist for Oregon State, told the archdiocese that the reception of Holy Communion on the tongue or in the hand pose “a more or less equal risk,”
“The risk of touching the tongue and passing the saliva on to others is obviously a danger however the chance of touching someone’s hand is equally probable and one’s hands have a greater exposure to germs.”
The archdiocese reacted after parishioners were denied Holy Communion on the tongue.
Lay distributors of Communion who "feel uncomfortable" to distribute Communion should be excused from this ministry, the archdiocese announced.

Coronavirus: Vatican Releases Wrong Numbers
The Vatican announced that there has been one coronavirus suspect while AldoMariaValli.it wrote (March 6) that there are five.
They concern the Secretariat of State, the Vatican Bank, the Apostolic Archive, the Vatican Library, and a priest who arrived from Bergamo.
The officially infected person participated in the [useless] 26-28 February conference on “ethics of artificial intelligence” organised by the Pontifical Academy for Life.
Francis cancelled his presence at the conference in the last minute due to his cold.
Pro-gay Cremona Bishop Antonio Napolioni was hospitalised with symptoms of a coronavirus infection.

New Vatican Centralized Office For Personnel
Francis established a central “General Directorate for Personnel” to oversee the Vatican's management of employees.
This move was advanced by the Council of Cardinals and the Council for the Economy. The Directorate is part of the Secretariat of State which thus receives more power.
It concerns not only the entities of the Holy See but all entities which depend from it (Institutes, Vatican Bank, factories, administrations, foundations).

The last pope to resign before Benedict XVI was Celestine V, five months after his election, in 1294.
Shortly after, Dante Alighieri’s (+1321) Divine Comedy puts Celestine V, without mentioning his name, in an anti-chamber of hell.
Dante refers to him as “he who made for cowardice, the great refusal.”

Francis: “If I'II Come to the Vatican I'll Commit Suicide”
At the end of 2007, Secretary of State Tarcisio Bertone proposed Buenos Aires Cardinal Bergoglio an “important Vatican post” on behalf of Benedict XVI.
According to Lucio Brunelli’s new Francis book, Bergoglio replied that he thanked the Holy Father sincerely but that, if possible, he would decline the offer, "Tell His Holiness that if I'll come to the Vatican I'll commit suicide."
In the second half of 2007 only one Curial appointed was made: Ravasi became the President of the Pontifical Council for Culture on September 3.
This minor position would have been a booby prize for Bergoglio who came in second in the 2005 conclave.

Vatikanischer Fastenprediger: Götzendienst ist Regeln, Rigidität, Ritualismus
Götzendienst ist "ein Verlangen nach Gewissheit", meinte der Fasten-Exerzitienprediger der Römischen Kurie, Jesuitenpater Pietro Bovati, laut VaticanNews.va (4. März).
Damit widersprach er der Amazonas-Synode, die das Heidentum als neue Offenbarung pries.
Bovati erklärte, dass der Götzendienst die Form eines lehrmäßigen oder disziplinären Regelsystems annehmen könne, und definierte daher Götzendienst als "Rigidität".
Er entdeckte Götzendienst in "Ritualismus, in der Beschäftigung mit schönen Zeremonien, denen es an authentischem Gebet fehlen kann [oder auch nicht]".
Mit anderen Worten: Bovati schleimte sich ein, indem er die Mantras von Franziskus repetierte.

Franziskus: "Wenn ich in den Vatikan komme, werde ich Selbstmord begehen"
Ende 2007 schlug Benedikt XVI.'s Staatssekretär Tarcisio Bertone im Namen von Papst Benedikt XVI. dem Kardinal von Buenos Aires, Jorge Mario Bergoglio, einen "wichtigen Posten im Vatikan" vor.
Laut Lucio Brunellis neuem Franziskus-Buch antwortete Bergoglio, dass Bertone dem Heiligen Vater aufrichtig danken möge, dass er aber, wenn möglich, das Angebot ablehnen würde:
"Sagen Sie Seiner Heiligkeit, wenn ich in den Vatikan komme, werde ich Selbstmord begehen."
In der zweiten Hälfte des Jahres 2007 gab es nur eine Ernennung an der Römischen Kurie: Ravasi wurde am 3. September zum Präsidenten des Päpstlichen Rates für die Kultur ernannt.

Francis Asks Persecuted Chinese Christians To Avoid "Proselytism," Be “Good Citizens”
Francis released a Thursday video message with his March prayer intention for “The unity of Christians in China.”
He encourages Chinese Catholics to be “truly Christians” and “good citizens” who promote the Gospel, "but without engaging in proselytism,” whatever that means.
Meanwhile, the Chinese government keeps closing churches so that Catholics are forced to pray on the street (pictured). The persecution of Christians has increased since Francis made his controversial deal with Beijing.
On social media, the comments on Francis' statements are mostly critical,
“Is proselytism even possible if you are the underdog, persecuted to be extinction? What if being faithful is at odds with unity? This is unworkable advice.”
Or: “So stay Catholic, but for Pete's sake, don't let it show, don't make a fuss about it, don't try to change anyone else's heart... and don't blame me or your government for the destruction …

Vatican Lenten Preacher: Idolatry Is Rules, Rigidity, Ritualism
Idolatry is “a desire for certainty,” the Lenten retreat preacher of the Roman Curia, Jesuit Father Pietro Bovati, fabulated according to VaticanNews.va (March 4).
With this he contradicted the Amazon Synod, which praised paganism as a new revelation.
Bovati explained that idols may take the form of a doctrinal or disciplinary system of rules, and therefore defined idolatry as “rigidity.”
He saw idolatry in “ritualism, in being concerned with beautiful ceremonies which may [or may not] lack authentic prayer.”
In other words: Bovati brown-nosed by echoing Francis' stereotypes.

Communion in the Hand at Old Rite Masses? Never
If Communion on the tongue is suspended, Communion may not be distributed in the Old Rite, the Latin Mass Society of England and Wales stated.
It explains that “the Communion of the Faithful is in no way necessary to the validity or liceity of the Mass.”
The LMS encourages the Faithful to make a Spiritual Communion.
