Ann Widdecombe's home was shown on national TV just five days before she was murdered It showed her front door, garden, library, conservatory, gym and kitchen
What rubbish. The SSPX is not in schism. The Vatican hierarchy are the schismatics. They can worship pagan idols in public, allow Chinese consecrations without papal approval, promote synodal heresy, ratify adultery, bless schismatic Anglican false bishops, but somehow the SSPX are the bad guys? I don’t think so Father Murray. You are WAY off the mark.
What do you think of that? Archbishop Lenga just said: SSPX excommunications mean nothing before God. He called the real schismatics "cardinals and bishops inside the Vatican" – and said Pope Leo no longer represents the Church that leads souls to salvation.
Bishop Joseph Williams of Camden, New Jersey, has suppressed the Mass in the Roman rite at St. Gianna Beretta Molla Parish in Northfield. The final Roman Mass was celebrated on June 28. The excuse used to end the Mass was the retirement of Father Anthony J. Manuppella. The priest who has taken over as an administrator knows how to say the Roman rite, but lacks permission to celebrate. Instead, he offers a Sunday noon Novus Ordo in Latin, celebrated ad orientem. According to parishioners and blog posts, Bishop Williams did not renew the permission required for the Mass to continue. Below is an English user comment from a parishioner published on Wdtprs.com: "The Bishop has rejected all pleas for mercy and charity from our retiring pastor, our dedicated altar servers, and congregation to allow our Traditional Latin Mass to continue". I laugh in their faces and look upon them with disdain. No one will ever take away the traditional Mass from me. I will always find one to go to, no matter where it may be.
At a moment when Rome has demonstrated uncompromising resolve in disciplining the SSPX, it simultaneously promotes a bishop publicly associated with some of the most contentious elements of the German reform movement. Appointments are one of the principal ways a Pope governs. They are never merely administrative. They reveal priorities.
Today, Leo XIV appointed Monsignor Christian Würtz, 55, as Bishop of Eichstätt, Germany. Leo XIV again chose a canon lawyer. A native of Karlsruhe, he originally studied law at Heidelberg University before entering the seminary. He holds two doctorates - one in both civil and canon law (doctor iuris utriusque) and another in theology. He also served as rector of Freiburg's seminary. At 48, he was the youngest bishop in Germany when he was ordained auxiliary bishop of Freiburg in 2019. At 55, he now becomes the youngest diocesan bishop in Germany. Part of the "Rainbow" Faction Among Bishops In September 2022, Monsignor Würtz voted "yes" at the German Synodal Way for the controversial document on the Doctrinal Reassessment of Homosexuality. The document argued that homosexual orientation is "not self-chosen and ... cannot be changed," and that homosexual Catholics should be accepted without reservation. He also voted yes for the document "Dealing with Gender Diversity." It asked bishops …More
He congratulated the community on surviving “the nauseating stench of the conciliar hydra” and embracing a position that asserted “the current vacancy of the Apostolic See.”
Fellay said he would submit the Declaration to the FSSPX General Chapter, scheduled for July 2018. At that Chapter, on 11 July 2018, Father Davide Pagliarani was elected Superior General. In the autumn of 2018, Cardinal Ladaria and Monsignor Pozzo met with Father Pagliarani. Monsignor Pozzo on Fr Pagliarani: "He informed us that he would not sign the Declaration, as he considered it insufficient and inadequate to address the difficulties and critical issues raised by the FSSPX, and that Rome would have to acknowledge its errors."
The Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX) rejected a Doctrinal Declaration proposed by the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (CDF), which would have been followed by the granting of a canonical status, Monsignor Guido Pozzo told LaNuovaBq.it on July 7. A meeting took place on 28 February 2018 at the Congregation between Cardinal Luis Ladaria, then Prefect, Monsignor Guido Pozzo, and Bishop Bernard Fellay. Bishop Fellay said he would submit the Declaration to the FSSPX General Chapter, scheduled for July 2018. At that Chapter, on 11 July 2018, Father Davide Pagliarani was elected Superior General. In the autumn of 2018, Cardinal Ladaria and Monsignor Pozzo met with Father Pagliarani. The July 2026 consecrations are portrayed not simply as another repeat of 1988. Instead, they are interpreted as demonstrating that the SSPX intends to perpetuate itself independently of Rome for the foreseeable future.
Archbishop Georg Gänswein hopes the restrictions on the Mass in the Roman rite will be lifted, he told Il Giornale on July 7. Looking back to Benedict XVI's 2007 Motu Proprio Summorum Pontificum, Monsignor Gänswein said the Pope wanted to restore “full rights to a rite that had never been abolished”: “His goal was to give it its rightful place again within the Church and to restore peace in the Church's liturgical life.” According to Archbishop Gänswein, Summorum Pontificum was not conceived as a step toward reconciliation with the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X. Rather, “it was directed toward the Church itself.” Benedict XVI was pleased with the results of this reform. “It was beginning to bear fruit. It worked especially well among young people, and this is evident above all in the steadily growing numbers participating each year in the Paris-to-Chartres pilgrimage.” Monsignor Gänswein added that these young people are not opposed to the Second Vatican Council: “Anyone who …More
A San Antonio priest at St. Joseph’s Chapel responds to recent Vatican excommunication measures against the SSPX. He compares the situation to 1988, notes changes under previous popes, argues that the penalty does not apply due to necessity under canon law, and encourages the faithful to continue attending the Traditional Latin Mass despite external pressure.

“We must put an end to liturgical abuses that contradict the teachings of the Second Vatican Council,” Cardinal Antonio María Rouco Varela, 89, Archbishop Emeritus of Madrid, told LaNuovaBq.it on July 7. Furthermore, he called for “understanding for those who wish to attend the older rite” and for “respect for the freedom of the faithful within the communion of the Church” - that is, “not by imposing excessive regulations.” He described Pope Benedict XVI’s Motu Proprio Summorum Pontificum (July 7, 2007) as “a very understanding and balanced measure, and I think it was a good one.” He added: “In Madrid there is still a church where the traditional rite is celebrated.” German Bishops Acting Against the Church On the German Synodal Way, Cardinal Rouco Varela said that “canon law has been stretched beyond its limits” and warned that the situation “affects the fundamental aspects of the faith.” If the planned synodal committee in Germany were to function as “a body exercising authority within …More
Real Lutherans in America go either Missouri or Wisconsin Synod. ELCA is 40 years ahead of modernist Catholics down the road of Apostacy and irrelevance.
Today, the General Secretariat of the Synod issued the preparatory framework for the October 7–14 meeting on the implementation of Amoris Laetitia between Pope Leo XIV and the presidents of the bishops' conferences. The gathering marks the tenth anniversary of Amoris Laetitia. The format is described as "synodal," involving a process of listening, prayer, and discernment. The aim is "to discern the direction in which the Holy Spirit is leading us today." The five discussion themes are: • Families today: reality, beauty and challenges • Young people and the discovery of the vocation to marriage (including cohabiting couples) • Married life: the first years of marriage—a decisive time • In the difficulties of life: accompanying and supporting • Christian families as subjects of the Church's mission The fourth theme speaks of “failure” and the “gap between the ideal and reality.” It says those who “have experienced separation and divorce” should feel listened to, involved, and co-responsible …More
On March 5, 2023, in his cathedral of La Plata, Bishop Víctor Manuel Fernández denounced the "classifications" and "labels" canonical and moral developed by the Church. Three years later, having become prefect of the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith, it is he who promulgates the decree of excommunication targeting the bishops, members, and faithful of the FSSPX following the episcopal ordinations of July 1, 2026.
"Este es así, este es asá, este puede comulgar, este no puede comulgar, a este se le puede perdonar, a este no, terrible que nos haya pasado eso en la Iglesia, gracias a Dios el papa Francisco nos ayuda a liberarnos de esos esquemas".
Protocol numbers are how Vatican departments organize their filing; a letter or submission is assigned a protocol number so that all the relevant documents are kept together in the right file. “Prot. No. 99/2009” is not a new file from 2026, but a file from 2009, specifically from Pope Benedict XVI’s lifting of the excommunications incurred in 1988.
An act of disobedience (not schism) compelled by priestly and episcopal moral conscience and duty, and the spiritual needs of 700,000 faithful Catholics in their care, while begging for the assistance and collaboration of the Holy See -- which was refused to their sincere pleas -- does not constitute a failure to be subject to the Roman Pontiff, nor of schism. Even Father Gerald Murray, a well-known Canon Lawyer who opposed the Consecrations says as much. You will find his commentary elsewhere on Gloria.TV
