On June 30, Leo XIV appointed Bishop Marco Mellino as Secretary of the Dicastery for Legislative Texts. Until now, Mellino was the deputy secretary of the same Dicastery. He was one of the principal canon-law officials of Francis' Curial reform. Born in 1966 in Canale (Piedmont), Mellino was ordained a priest in 1991 and earned his licentiate (1999) and doctorate (2000) in canon law at the Pontifical Lateran University. Defending Amoris Laetitia In January 2018, Mellino defended the controversial Chapter VIII of Amoris laetitia about giving Communion to adulterers in an article entitled 'La comunione ad alcuni fedeli in situazione irregolare' (Communion for some members of the faithful in an irregular situation). Mellino belongs to the same canon-law milieu as Cardinal Francesco Coccopalmerio, the principal Vatican defender of Amoris laetitia. In October 2018, Francis appointed Mellino as Bishop and Secretary of the Council of Cardinals (the "C9"). Creating a "Synodal Church" Monsignor …بیہ
Jane Allen was suffering from anorexia. She traveled to Colorado seeking treatment. Instead, her doctor offered assisted suicide — a prescription for death. Her father intervened just in time. Jane began to heal — eating again, tapering off morphine. The anorexia clinic dropped her, calling her a “liability.” When Jane chose life, her doctors walked away. Assisted suicide isn’t healthcare. It’s preying on the sick and vulnerable.
Yes, communism which NON Russians brought to the people and killed tens of millions of CATHOLICS AND ORTHODOX. Some people ought to take out all the hate from their hearts and their lying and get rid of the ignorance they speak. What was Sister Lucia concerned about? communism. What does the Church teach? communism is a sin and evil. Who did the Saintly Popes reach out to? The Russian Orthodox. Who did the Russian Orthodox reach out to? Saintly Popes. Who did most of those Saintly Popes and more condemned fiercely? protestantism. The slaughterer of souls. And also the mind. YES! The errors of Russia! But NOT of the Russian People! As the Church has said, taught and shown for centuries.
VATICAN CITY (PerMariam) — With the Society of Saint Pius X’s episcopal consecrations and the accompanying threatened excommunication now just over two weeks away, a prominent prelate has given advice on what position Catholics who attend the Society will be in. “I think the faithful and the Society simply profess the faith of all times,” said Bishop Athanasius Schneider in a recent interview with journalist Matt Gaspers. “They profess it, accept the Pope, pray for him, and profess the Catholic faith. This is the minimum really required to be in communion.” (The full interview can be watched here) As it stands, the Holy See appears unlikely to change its stance regarding the SSPX and the planned episcopal consecrations. This means that, come the July 1 consecration date, the Holy See would deem that such consecrations without the papal mandate would incur “the excommunication established by the law of the Church.” Cardinal Victor Manuel Fernández’s document from May 13 declares …
The SSPX view held by Bp. Schneider: “If this is not the minimum, then what shall the minimum be?,” he asked, referencing their recent Declaration of Faith and loyalty to the Pope. “At the same time,” he observed, “the German synodal way and other bishops around the world openly proclaim heresies and permit blasphemies during liturgies, all unpunished and not corrected.”
The Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX) "didn't consider useful the dialogue we've proposed", Cardinal Tucho Fernández, soft porn author and Prefect of the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith, told @Michael Haynes on X.com. Tucho added: "But we hope in future, thanks to the action of the Holy Spirit, it'll be possible. I'm sure, but we'll need time." #newsXnfaezetpr
Cardinal McElroy has banned the installation of new Altar rails and discourages temporary kneelers, citing "a disruption of the flow of the Communion line". As you can see here, there is no disruption. Just another garbage excuse to attack the Latin Mass.
I would argue that kneeling and on the tongue is faster and more fluid than standing with Eucharistic minister placing the Eucharist in their dirty hands, stepping to the site, and then placing the host in your own mouth. Two operations as opposed to one so what is he even talking about.
Weather Deteriorated During Episcoapal Consecration: As the consecration began in Écône, a downpour doused the faithful in the field outside the tent. Meanwhile, the organ played Handel's "Lascia ch'io pianga": "Let me weep over my cruel fate, and sigh for freedom."
Die To Yourself, Discover Lasting Joy The Gospel reading emphasizes the rewards of living a life of charity and love, particularly for those baptized into Christ. This life of charity is exemplified in marriage, where spouses are called to love each other selflessly, mirroring Christ’s love for the Church. By dying to themselves and living for their spouse, married couples participate in the divine mystery of Christ’s love for the Church. True fulfillment comes from losing our lives by giving ourselves to God and others, especially our spouses. This requires dying to our selfishness and allowing Christ to live through us, loving others as He loves us. By doing so, we prepare ourselves for eternal life in heaven, where love reigns supreme. Run of Saint Andrew: Amalfi's Centuries-Old Tradition. The spectacular 'Run of Saint Andrew' in Amalfi, Italy, is part of a centuries-old celebration honoring Saint Andrew, the city's patron saint. According to local tradition, on 27 June 1544, as the fleet of the Ottoman corsair Khayr al-Din Barbarossa threatened Amalfi, the townspeople prayed for Saint Andrew's intercession. A violent storm scattered the enemy ships, and the city was spared. Each year on 27 June, bearers carry the silver reliquary bust of Saint Andrew at a run up the 62 steps of Amalfi Cathedral, commemorating this traditional account of the city's deliverance.

The Pierced Heart That Saves Souls The Sacred Heart of Jesus represents both literal and figurative aspects of love and suffering. Through Jesus’ suffering and death on the cross, the Church was born, and we gain access to the Father through His open heart. True love for Jesus is demonstrated through sharing in His suffering and remaining faithful to Him and His Church, even in times of hardship. Fr. Vatican Responded "Good Luck" to the Catholic State Idea: Today, Bishop Bernard Fellay FSSPX ordained five priests and three deacons in Écône. During his homily, he claimed "a small incident" witnessed by all the leading figures of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, including the Prefect, the Secretary and the Undersecretary. The FSSPX said that they want to win over individuals but also societies for Christ. The alleged response from the Congregation: "Good luck." Monsignor Fellay comments: "They no longer believe it."
Mgr Fellay reports this highly revealing anecdote about the mindset of the Roman authorities. When the FSSPX tells them that it wants to work to bring souls and societies back to God, these same authorities say to it, "Good luck!" They no longer believe in it!

He had this picture on his bed, the little card on the corner is our Lady holding the Body of our Lord. Perhaps Michael Jackson, despite the obvious catholic picture in his bed at neverland ranch, wasn’t catholic, BUT he believe in God and His Son Jesus, Im sure, Divine Mercy intervened on Michael's behalf, finding Paradise through fields of loving fire instead of horrific darkness and Divine anger. Please keep on praying for the souls of purgatory, through the Rosary or with the St Gertrude's prayer. God bless.
Mazepa led the Cossack Hetmanate, an autonomous entity that split from the Catholic Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth amid economic exploitation and religious persecution of its Orthodox Christian population.
Vincent asked first whether, in a time of schism, it was necessary to accept a single true pope or whether one could accept both or neither. Having established in his response to the first question that one must accept either Urban or Clement as pope, Vincent then posed the second question, namely, which of the two men elected by the College of Cardinals was the true pope. Having established that Clement's election alone was valid, Vincent then asked whether this truth had to be preached and revealed to the Christian people. To each of these three major questions, the friar assigned five additional questions. Vincent answered all 15 questions within a scholastic framework: he posed his answer; cited his rational arguments (rationes) and his authorities (chiefly Aquinas, named on several occasions, and the Bible, with some references to Augustine and Aristotle); raised objections to his own arguments; and then rebutted the objections.
