Leo XIV appointed today two auxiliary bishops in the Archdiocese of Caracas, Venezuela. Monsignor José Manuel León (born 1966 in Barquisimeto) is a Passionist Father, was ordained to the priesthood on 19 March 1994 and is currently a parish priest. Pictured Monsignor José Dionisio Gómez Gouveia (born 1966 in La Guaira) is a diocesan priest of Caracas. He has served in multiple parishes, as a prison chaplain, and in seminary formation. "Beyond Traditions and Rites" Monsignor León's current parish Preciosísima Sangre is in eastern Caracas, near Petare and a slum area. His homilies are published on ParroquiaPreciosisimaSangre.wordpress.com. He uses a Francis-style pastoral tone with the buzzwords mercy, welcome, and fraternity. In a reflection from 8 July 2023, he wrote that Jesus moved beyond a religion sustained “only in traditions,” criticizes a faith reduced to rites, and says it is easy to “wash hands” while failing to extend them “for fraternal embrace.” He also attacks attachment …Zambiri

There are people who will never be financially secure, no matter how big their paycheck gets. And there are those who will eventually build wealth, even if life keeps knocking them down and picking their pockets. Because it’s never actually about the dollar amount; it’s about your mindset. You can blow through absolutely any amount of cash if you try hard enough. There are people who will never actually do the job they were hired to do, even if you pay them top dollar. And there are those who will always see a task through to the end and take pride in their work, even if they aren't making a single dime. Because again, it’s not about the salary; it’s about work ethic. If you’re looking for an excuse, you will always find one. There are people who spend their entire lives complaining about the hand they were dealt. And sure enough, their lives are miserable, even when they have every possible resource to be happy. But then there are those who know how to truly enjoy life, even when …Zambiri
The Scottish Parliament rejected an assisted suicide bill by 69 votes to 57 on 17 March. The proposal would have allowed “terminally ill” adults to kill themselves. Claims that the bill was “the most safeguarded in the world” were refuted in the emotional and two-year long debate. MSPs were given a free vote, not along party lines. Three MSPs changed their vote from supporting the bill earlier to opposing it. The bill had already passed an earlier stage in 2025, but lost support after scrutiny and amendments. Concerns raised by opponents included pressure or coercion on vulnerable people and the doctor–patient relationship. The opposition included several medical bodies like psychiatrists and pharmacists as well as disability organisations. The vote was not the first but another failed attempt to legalise assisted dying in Scotland. Campaigners will likely bring forward new bills, supported by the state television BBC. #newsYrpzmnuvzv

Court Suspends Demolition of Church in Western France: The administrative court in Nantes has suspended the planned demolition of Saint-Gault Church in Quelaines-Saint-Gault following an emergency legal challenge by Urgences Patrimoine. The judge cited “serious doubts” regarding the legality of the demolition, noting that the municipality's local urban plan (PLU) recognises the church as part of its architectural heritage. The demolition was approved by the municipal council on 27 November 2025.

Catholic Men brave fierce wind to honor St. Patrick | Shalom World News On Saint Patrick's Day, a group of devoted Catholic men ascended Slemish Mountain, braving a fierce 110 km/h wind to honor the legacy of Saint Patrick. This rugged mountain holds deep spiritual significance—it was here, according to tradition, that Patrick endured the hardship of slavery as a young man. In isolation and suffering, he turned to God, finding strength and consolation through constant prayer. Year after year, pilgrims return to this sacred place, not deterred by harsh weather but inspired by Patrick’s unwavering faith. Battling the elements, these men mirrored the endurance of the saint himself—standing firm in prayer where he once sought hope in captivity. Their pilgrimage is more than a physical journey; it is a powerful witness to resilience, devotion, and the enduring call to faith even in life’s most difficult storms.
The Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX) has sent all diocesan bishops in Italy a newly published book explaining the reasons behind its planned episcopal consecrations. The book At the Service of the Church argues that some Church leaders have "adulterated the faith", creating a situation that justifies resistance to authority. In a letter accompanying the book, District Superior Don Gabriele D’Avino describes the initiative as an invitation for bishops to reflect on the crisis in the Church.
Hate to say this sodomy has clouded the minds of the Roman hierarchy on any moral stance . Even SSPX need to purge there own ranks ST Peter Daimon pray for us

VANCE addresses Joe Kent’s resignation: “Whether you’re the gardener at Mar-A-Lago or whether you’re the Secretary of State, the president cares about what you think about an issue….With that said, when the president of the United States makes a decision, it’s your job to make that decision as effective and successful as possible.”
Make the president’s “decision as effective and successful as possible,” says Vance. Even when he tells the nation’s people to be ready to commit suicide? No way. Sorry, you and children go fight that illegal war against Iran that has already killed too many innocent people. And for no good cause. American leadership today is morally bankrupt.
Book of Ezekiel 47,1-9.12. The angel brought me, Ezekiel, back to the entrance of the temple of the LORD, and I saw water flowing out from beneath the threshold of the temple toward the east, for the façade of the temple was toward the east; the water flowed down from the right side of the temple, south of the altar. He led me outside by the north gate, and around to the outer gate facing the east, where I saw water trickling from the southern side. Then when he had walked off to the east with a measuring cord in his hand, he measured off a thousand cubits and had me wade through the water, which was ankle-deep. He measured off another thousand and once more had me wade through the water, which was now knee-deep. Again he measured off a thousand and had me wade; the water was up to my waist. Once more he measured off a thousand, but there was now a river through which I could not wade; for the water had risen so high it had become a river that could not be crossed except by swimming. He …Zambiri
"The miraculous multiplication of the loaves was indeed performed by Jesus. (...) God created the universe ex nihilo. If He possessed the power to achieve that, then He is surely capable of multiplying bread in a miraculous manner" (Willem Jacobus Cardinal Eijk)
Cardinal Willem Eijk of Utrecht celebrated his first public Mass in the Roman rite on Sunday at the Church of the Immaculate Conception (known as the Grote Kerk) in Oss, the Netherlands. In his homily (video below), he spoke about the Gospel of the multiplication of the loaves and fishes. Cardinal Eijk recounted an example from the 1950s in the Netherlands. A priest teaching religion at a Catholic school told students that the multiplication of the loaves should not be taken literally, since such a miracle would be impossible. Instead, he explained it as a moral story: people shared the food they already had because they were inspired by Jesus’ preaching about love. Eijk added that this kind of denial destroyed the faith of many Catholics. He recalled that in the 1950s and 1960s the once-strong Church in the Netherlands collapsed, identifying one of the causes as poor preaching by clergy who themselves undermined belief. According to him, the faith of once-convinced Catholics was “…Zambiri
I had to chuckle at the notion that the multiplication of the loaves and fishes was impossible. Heck, that's the definition of a miracle, something which is "impossible" but yet occurs.
