The FSSPX’s Christ the King pilgrimage opened in Lourdes on October 24, despite Bishop Jean-Marc Micas’ ban on celebrations inside the sanctuary’s basilicas. Pilgrims gathered under a large tent at Maison Saint-Ignace for four Masses. The day also included Stations of the Cross on the Espélugues hillside and individual prayers at the Grotto of Massabielle, as the faithful continued their pilgrimage despite the restrictions.

Valentino Cottini, former rector of the Pontifical Institute for Arabic and Islamic Studies (PISAI), praised Islam. The presentation was attended by the presiding Italian Cardinal, Matteo Zuppi. Rev. Cottini said that the school materials provide "an objective and empathetic presentation of Islam that does not shy away from difficulties, but illustrates this magnificent faith and splendid culture".
